Big changes happen when real people leave real footprints in real communities…

Here are some Footprints of Fort Wayne’s real-life heroes:

A young man in highschool was moved by the recent tragedies of violence in schools across America. He decided that at his school, everyone should feel welcomed and not isolated. For four years, he woke up extra early to be the first one to school, and held the doors for each and every student who came; such a small gesture, but he went the extra mile to make a big difference.

A salon owner heard about a program to bring joy to children across the world in a shoebox. She could have made one or two boxes and donate them to the organization, but instead each year she encourages her staff and clients to help. By the time the trucks come to pick up the shoeboxes, her salon is filled wall to wall with hundreds of wrapped and ready shoeboxes…and she even pays the shipping to ensure that they are all delivered!

Two successful women entrepreneurs lose a dear friend to breast cancer. Committing to the mission to save lives and put an end to the disease that took their friend’s life, they have since raised millions of dollars for breast cancer research. These two women have been passionate about their cause and they have made a difference by going the extra mile!
